Airbus Production Continues to Struggle

If not for all of Boeing’s highly public problems, attention might be focused on why Airbus cannot predict their production better. At the start of the year Airbus forecast deliveries of 800 aircraft in 2024. This summer the goal was reduced by 30 to 770. Through the end of August Airbus delivered 447 aircraft, an average of 56 per month. To make their revised goal of 770 aircraft, Airbus will need to deliver an average of 81 per month. Continued lower than forecasted production will have adverse inventory and cash flow impacts on the supply chain.
